Teesdale Game

Teesdale Game and Poultry has been a provider of fine game for four generations, in and around Teesdale and Co. Durham and throughout the Country, since 1912. The present owners are Stephen and Alison Morrell who live in Barnard Castle in Co. Durham.

Great efforts have been made over the past 25 years in expanding the business through acquisition and by focussing on specific game meat and its presentation. The retail side of the business is at the indoor market in the old part of the City of Durham, close to the famous castle, university colleges and cathedral.

In addition to direct selling of produce, Teesdale Game & Poultry also provide a mail-order service, now enhanced by investment in their own (this) website. As well as individual shoppers, many local (and some not so local) hotels and restaurants rely on their game meat supply from Teesdale Game & Poultry.

Teesdale Game & Poultry are founder members of the  Northumbria Larder, as an extension of their activity in farmers’ markets in the NE region.
