Here at Ox Close Fine Foods we process wild game. We work with selected suppliers in and around Yorkshire and the North Pennines for our small game and we work with trusted suppliers of Venison from Scotland.
The game we collect is all collected in refrigerated vehicles and graded for damage in game larders and then re-inspected when it comes back to the factory. At the factory we split the game with some destined for customer in Europe in the feather and oven ready, and the rest we process to order for our customers here in the UK. All our game is traceable to a date of intake from Estates. This means we can inform those customers that require it, a location of where the game has been shot. We also make sure that we freeze stock during the changing game season to make sure that we are holding stock of game year round to suit customers needs.
We dispatch orders to our wholesale customers daily so that they can have the freshest stock possible to give their customers and the best possible product to work with. We also dispatch direct to restaurants and direct customer using an over night courier once a week.
