Highfield House Farm

The Prince family moved to the farm in 1986, bringing with us, our Kerry Blue Terriers and some knowledge of farming.

We set up with a small flock of mules put to Texel and Suffolk tups.

Over the next few years, cattle and pigs were introduced to the farm and in 1990, the Hightecs Texel flock was started.

In 1996 we opened our Farm Shop, and in 2004 a development grant helped us transform this small shop into a much larger concern which now employs full and part time staff from the local area.

In 2004 we also purchased the remainder of the oldest Suffolk flock in Derbyshire, the Bubnell flock. From these 24 ewes and the stock ram we have developed our flock to give sheep with great size and performance.

Our latest venture started with the purchase of 6 Beltex ewes to produce the Stonedge Beltex flock.
