The finalists have been announced for the 2026 Eat Game Awards, and we need your help in deciding who should be crowned this year’s Champion of Champions.

You can find out more information on each of the finalists below and we need your vote before the end of February, with winners announced at a glittering ceremony at Soane Hall on 19 March.

The Eat Game Awards being held at The Nave, Grand Junction Paddington Junction on 23 March 2023. This fabulous star-studded occasion starts at 6pm for a drinks reception with canapés and fizz.
 
The annual awards are an opportunity to look back and recognise all the hard work and achievements of our industry in the beautiful atmosphere of The Nave at the Grand Junction Paddington London W2 5TF.
 
Tickets include three course game dinner with wine. £125 per person or £1,000 for a table of eight. 6pm start – late.

Game and Flames

Cai Ap Bryn is an experienced hunter, fisherman and chef and has hunted and cooked all over Europe, picking up inspiration and creating wood-fired catering company Game and Flames. 

They have great supply of wild food and game and even have their own facility to process all game they harvest themselves plus their own butchery and larder which enables them to provide the full field to fork philosophy when it comes to venison.  

Cai was also named Best Game Influencer at the 2024 and 2025 Eat Game Awards. 

Hugo Campbell Hill

The Game Glutton

As an avid countryman and former game farmer, Hugo set up “The Game Glutton” to educate and promote the use of wild meat, making it easily accessible and exciting for everyone, especially those who might not have tried it before. 

From in depth butchery demo’s to pheasant ‘big mac’s’ there are techniques and recipes for all.  

As a business he provides tailor made elevensies packs for shoots, private dining and event catering exclusively using game meat.

Ross Horrocks

The Caddy Mann

Ross Horrocks has been a familiar face at the Caddy Mann in Jedburgh for well over 20 years, first as chef and more recently as chef and co-owner at the restaurant in the Scottish borders. 

They are also familiar faces to the Eat Game awards as regulars in the Best Restaurant category and Best Chef category. 

He is inventive with his game cooking to showcase the very best of Scotland’s natural larder.

Mark Kempson

Kitchen W8

Mark Kempson is no stranger to the Eat Game Awards after being crowned Game Chef of the Year for the past two years running.

He is the head chef of Kitchen W8 in Kensington where he has held a Michelin star since 2011. 

 Mark is constantly inspired to create dishes that reflect his love both of the British countryside and of classic French techniques.
